The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released an official notice announcing a Special Stray Vacancy Round to fill vacant dental seats under NEET UG 2025 counselling. This initiative follows an extension in the admission timeline, ensuring that unfilled seats in General Merit (GM), Other Than Hindu (OTH) and Open (OPN) categories are allocated efficiently. Eligible candidates who were not allotted seats in earlier rounds can participate by reporting in person with original documents and fees.

On December 27, 2025, KEA issued a formal communication stating that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extended the admission timeline for 2025, paving the way for a Special Stray Vacancy Round. Only those dental seats identified as vacant after prior rounds will be offered. No fresh seat matrix will be published; allotment will strictly follow the existing list of available seats.

27 दिसंबर, 2025 को KEA ने एक आधिकारिक अधिसूचना जारी की, जिसमें कहा गया कि मेडिकल काउंसलिंग कमेटी (MCC) ने वर्ष 2025 के लिए प्रवेश समय सीमा बढ़ा दी है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप विशेष स्ट्रे वैकेंसी राउंड आयोजित किया जा रहा है। केवल वही डेंटल सीटें आवंटित की जाएंगी जो पिछले राउंड में खाली रह गई थीं। नया सीट मैट्रिक्स नहीं जारी किया जाएगा; उपलब्ध सीटों की ही सूची के आधार पर आवंटन किया जाएगा।

• Who Can Apply: Candidates who did not secure a dental seat in any earlier counselling rounds and are interested in GM, OTH or OPN categories.

• Reporting Venue & Date: KEA Office, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru on 31 December 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
  उपस्थिति स्थल एवं तिथि: KEA कार्यालय, मल्लेेश्वरम, बेंगलुरु – 31 दिसंबर 2025 को सुबह 10:00 से 11:30 बजे तक।
• Documents Required: Original NEET UG scorecard, class certificates, identity proof, KEA verification slip.
  आवश्यक दस्तावेज़: मूल NEET UG अंकतालिका, कक्षा प्रमाणपत्र, पहचान पत्र, KEA सत्यापन स्लिप।
• Fee Submission: Demand Draft in favor of "Executive Director, KEA, Bengaluru." Only after fee payment and document verification will candidates access the counselling options window.

After options are locked by 1:00 pm on 31 December, KEA will publish the seat allotment result the same day. Candidates allotted a seat must report to their respective colleges by 4:00 pm on 1 January 2026, carrying all original documents and the allotment letter.

31 दिसंबर को 1:00 बजे तक विकल्प बंद होने के बाद KEA उसी दिन सीट आवंटन परिणाम जारी करेगा। आवंटित उम्मीदवारों को 1 जनवरी 2026 को शाम 4:00 बजे तक कॉलेज में रिपोर्ट करना होगा, साथ में सभी मूल दस्तावेज़ और आवंटन पत्र रखना अनिवार्य है।
